2-Day Bootcamp on Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship(JEC)

The Two Day Bootcamp was organized by AIC-RNTU Foundation, sponsored by MP Startup Center with the aim to spread awareness about entrepreneurship, and its important aspects and promote it as a career option amongst students with series of Session / Workshop and group- based activities.
Day 1:

Day 1 of bootcamp was inaugurated by Dr. Rajeev Chandak, Interim Principal -Jabalpur Engineering College and AIC-RNTU team. The bootcamp started with speakers introduction and briefing. Dr. Rajeev in his address talked briefly about the growing ecosystem and motivated students to inbuilt entrepreneurial mindset,leadership skills and learn from the sessions to initiate their future entrepreneurial journey.
Then, Mr. Ronald Fernandez in his address briefly talked about the changes in the ecosystem in the last two decades and the current opportunities in reach for students, entrepreneurs to build their startup.Then, Mr. Rishiraj Sethi and Mr. Harkuwar Sethi, Founders, SKIM, One of the incubated startups at AIC-RNTU talked about their Journey as a startup emerging from Jabalpur-a tier 2 City and how AIC-RNTU supported them in their journey.After this, the bootcamp continued with the sessions.
Session1- Institutional & non-institutional support system to startups - Incubators and Accelerators by Mr. Ronald Fernandez, CEO, AIC-RNTU Foundation
Mr. Ronald talked about the startup ecosystem, incubation and entrepreneurship. He also talked about the progress the ecosystem has made in the last few years. Mr. Ronald shared his experiences as an entrepreneur and shared hope incubators are supporting startups to grow.
Session 2- Fundamentals of Entrepreneurs by Ms. Krati Jain, Assistant Manager, AIC-RNTU Foundation
Ms. Krati, in her session, highlighted the fundamental skills of entrepreneurs, E-Cell & Incubation. Adding to that, she talked about Startup & Business and zeal of entrepreneurship.
Session 3- Idea to MVP and MVP to Commercialisation by Mr. Jitendra Rajaram, Entrepreneurship Enthusiast/Corporate Trainer
Mr. Jitendra Rajaram took a session on Idea to MVP and MVP to Commercialisation and interacted with students in idea generation and team building activity which followed by an idea generation activity with students of RGPV. Mr. Jitendra showed four videos with hidden messages and asked students to write ideas around the video clips. The students noted down their ideas and top 3 presented in front of audience. This activity resulted as a brainstorming activity which helped students to generate ideas.
Day 2:
Session 1- Process to establish a Startup - Types of entities by Mr. Shubham Nema, Incubation Officer, AIC-RNTU Foundation
Mr. Shubham in his session explained types of entities to register a venture and pros and cons of each. He further described other organization types as well which included briefing about section 8 Company, Trust, Society, Factors influencing the choice of form of Business Organisation. Further, Mr. Shubham talked about MSME, benefits of MSME registration and eligibility criteria to register. Mr. Shubham made students understand about the above topics using examples.
Session 2- Types of Startup Funding & Startup Valuation Methods by Mr. Ayush Dubey, Incubation Manager, Venture Catalysts
Mr. Ayush Dubey talked about Stages of Funding, Factors to consider while raising funds, right time to raise funds along with the methods to calculate Valuation and its importance in the growth cycle.
Session 3- Startup Storytelling and Pitch Deck Elements by Ms. Krati Jain
Ms. Krati Jain briefed about the importance of pitch, types of pitches, elements to be included in the deck along with the important pointers. Further adding to that, she also made"what kind of pitch deck should be presented to which person"clear.
Session 4- Building an Intellectual Property and Why Startups Fail? By Mr. Jitendra Rajaram
Mr. Jitendra took a session over the above mentioned topic where he exaggerated on the reasons behind the failure of 99% startups get registered everytime. Mr. Jitendra also shared some of his past experiences about the same. He added the mistakes startups make in shareholding patterns, while registering the company, building teams and hiring people etc. Mr. Jitendra also explained about the IP Building process starting with the Ideation process to IP Commercialization. Day 2 of bootcamp concluded with a thanks note by RGPV and AIC-RNTU Foundation team. AIC- RNTU team also provided some content material to the students who attended the sessions.
